The Three

A poem written by 13 year old Stella about her and her brother and sister.

There is a myth of where there are three:

A star, a stone, a stronghold tree.

The young star so bright in the sky

Like scattered star dust tossed up so high

The star shimmers and sparkles, enchanting to the eye.

The beautiful olive shaded Jade stone

A symbol of hope and wisdom to all

A precious Chinese beauty.

The finest forest tree, Kauri

Healthy and strong with leaves touching the stars

A mature face shaped within the bark.

This is the myth of where there are three:

The star, the stone and the strong-willed tree.

They live on together forever and free

My brother and sister are always with me.
